Push back racking is a high-density storage system that uses trolleys to form a 2 to 6 pallet deep structure. The access mode is first in, last out (LIFO). Press-in shelves are three-dimensional storage without passageways. Each channel is stored independently to facilitate efficient management of multiple SKUs.
Push-in shelves also evolved from pallet shelves, also called push-back shelves or push-in shelves. Adopting the principle of combining rails and pallet trolleys, the rails are at a certain slope (about 3°). Taking advantage of the dead weight of the goods, Guanyu pallet goods are stipulated to be stored at one end, with goods first in, last out, suitable for large quantities and small varieties of goods. Storage, space utilization is very high, and access is more flexible and convenient. The total depth of the shelves should not be too deep, generally within the depth of 6 pallets, otherwise the space will be sacrificed due to the mutual embedding of pallet trolleys. The weight of goods in a single pallet is generally within 1500kg, and the shelf height is generally less than 6m.
This type of system requires high manufacturing precision for the shelves, and the cooperation between the pallet trolley and the guide rails is particularly important. If the manufacturing and installation accuracy is not high, it can easily lead to poor operation of the shelf system. This type of shelf has a high cost and is very suitable for use in cold storage or situations where the storage area is limited but there is an urgent need to increase the storage area. It has been widely used in China. Only shelf manufacturers of a certain scale in China produce such shelves.
