Heavy Duty Stacker For Pallet - AS/RSPallet Stacker Cranes are typically automated systems. They are controlled by a warehouse management system (WMS) or warehouse control system (WCS) and can work autonomously.

What is a pallet stacker?
A pallet stacker, also known as a pallet stacker crane or pallet automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS), is a type of material handling equipment used in warehouses and distribution centers to automate the storage and retrieval of palletized goods. It is a highly efficient and versatile system that maximizes storage space and minimizes labor requirements.
A pallet stacker consists of a tall, vertical structure, typically made of steel, with multiple levels of storage racks. The racks are designed to accommodate pallets of various sizes and weights. The stacker utilizes an automated mechanism, such as a combination of conveyors, hoists, and shuttles, to move pallets vertically and horizontally within the storage system.
The operation of a pallet stacker is controlled by a computerized warehouse management system (WMS). The WMS receives input from the inventory management system and determines the optimal storage location for each pallet based on factors such as product characteristics, inventory levels, and order priorities. The pallet stacker then executes the commands from the WMS to store or retrieve pallets as needed.
When a pallet needs to be stored, the stacker picks it up from the input or staging area, lifts it to the appropriate level, and places it into an available storage location. When a pallet needs to be retrieved, the stacker identifies its location based on the information from the WMS, picks it up, and delivers it to the output or retrieval area. The entire process is fast, accurate, and can be performed continuously without human intervention.

By storing pallets in multiple levels, the system can significantly increase the storage capacity compared to traditional racking systems.
