What is the storage and retrieval process of ASRS？

• Inbound Process: When goods arrive at the warehouse, they are typically received, inspected, and assigned specific locations within the ASRS. This information is entered into the control system.
• Storage Process: The ASRS machines, controlled by the central system, autonomously retrieve items from the receiving area and transport them to the assigned storage locations. They optimize the use of available space and can stack goods vertically.
• Retrieval Process: When an order is placed, the ASRS system identifies the location of the item(s) and directs the machines to retrieve them. The machines pick up the desired goods and transport them to a designated area for further processing or shipping.

• Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs): VLMs consist of vertical columns with trays or shelves. The system brings the required tray to the operator, eliminating the need for manual searching and bending.
• Carousels: Carousels are rotating shelves where items are stored. The system automatically rotates and positions the required shelf for retrieval.
